Design principles are concrete guidelines that supports the design values and should be followed to make things look Carla.

Leading

Carla UI is built up on two main navigation directions, vertical/stacked is for content and horizontal is for the product flow.

Example: Interactions that moves the customers in the product and buying flow are supported with horizontal leading arrows.

Carla UI is flat as a paper.
This means that all elements are on the same level of depth and that no 3D indicators, such as drop shadows, are used.

Exception: Lightboxes that presents photos are used for product descriptions.

Carla UI is built up on simple geometrical shapes.
Boxes with sharp, 90 degree corners, and perfect circles are the main building blocks.

Exception: Rounded corners on interactive objects.
